Diamond Tiara

Liz loved jewellery, but her words above tell us that she was never overawed by them. But that wouldn't have been apparent to those watching her walk down the red carpet on Oscar night 1957, wearing a diamond tiara gifted to her by her third husband Mike Todd.


Tiaras have never been fashionable, and no one but royalty wears them, but Liz wrote in her book that she was really glad she wore it that night, because Mike's movie Around the world in 80 days won and, she said, Mike was the king of her world.
